Q: Is there a Save game feature in WordUp?
A: Currently WordUp does not offer a save game feature. We have had several
requests for this feature and have this on our list for future updates
to the game. Players who had previously purchased WordUp will be entitled
to a free update when this happens.
Q: How can I get more help on WordUp? I want to know about the finer
points of the game!
A: Please read through the Instructions available on the main menu. You
should also have a look at the in-game help, it may provide additional
tips and tricks you may not know about! Feel free to contact Skunk Studios
if these do not answer your question, so we can add it to this FAQ. Thanks!
Q: It looks like the letter grid starts the same way from game to game.
Why?
A: WordUp features a daily grid! We did this to keep worldwide high scores
competitions fair for everyone. So the grid layout does start the same
each day for each level. That is, each level begins with its own unique
layout, and the layouts are different for each game mode. Of course, how
you remove words from the layout dramatically changes how the level progresses,
so there are actually thousands of ways to play a given level. And when
a new day dawns, the grid layouts will automatically change!
GAME TIPS
-------------
Q: How do I quickly select letters?
A: On Windows, click and hold the right-mouse button as you drag around
the board to select a word. On Macintosh, hold down the Shift key.
Q: How do I know where power-ups will appear in Strategy mode?
A: Power-ups will appear where you remove the tiles in your previous turn.
You can use this to your advantage.
Troubleshooting
---------------
WordUp has been tested thoroughly to make sure it will operate correctly
for
users whose computers have sufficient 3D hardware and processor speeds.
Computers
with a 3D video card, and processor of 333Mhz or higher should perform
well.
If you run into problems with strange system behavior or visual oddities,
you may
want to try these fixes:
1) Upgrade your computers video card drivers. This can be done by identifying
the
type of video card your computer is using, and finding the manufacturer's
web site.
2) Re-install WordUp. Sometimes downloading
and installing the latest version fixes the problem!
